The new rules

People use to believe in a system when their lives reach a level of satisfaction. It has been this way in our recent history. The nations that provide great way of life to its population have reached a kind of prosperity, but sometimes it is not longer, and then the system brakes down. The Former President of the United States, Bill Clinton, announced in 1997 that nations were setting the new rules for this century. But one rule did not change: the people's satisfaction.
These rules have to avoid the populist leaders. They appear when the citizens are hopeless, when it seems there is no light in the end of the tunel. They do something magical and everything is fine again. But such time does not last forever, because they need to create an external enemy to control the population, and the war is unavoidable.
In his speech, Clinton warned this principle. The success of the foundation for security and prosperity based on rules of freedom and peace would depend on the reward. He was right, but until now the security has not reached yet. The war continues and we do not know where we are going to. But the worst thing is that we can not find who is challenging the system from the outside. This makes us feel lost.
We do not need another savior, another magician. We need to find the right path, to show people which nations can give them a better life, that the freedom is the most precious gift in the world.
As we can see, no matter what kind of rules are being proposed, they must lead us through the freedom road and the destiny must be only one: a life full of peace and joy.
